RYAN EDIFICE

Mirroring minimal surfaces, adjoined by three offset circular curves generated a swooping surface with tapered space. The simplicity of the surfaces is detailed with a gradient of negative spaces, revealing the subtle descent of the surface toward the edge.

Ryan Edifice demonstrates the seamless transfiguration of what was an aesthetically placed pattern into an obvious situation to create windows and skylights. A proposed addition of a glass ceiling seals the structure and the outdoor ground space beneath the cantilever becomes active as shelter.

From adorning an arm to providing a built environment, this design seems to act similarly in its bold and sculptural characteristics in both situations.
